PRSSA Bateman Competition 2017 national champions

PRSSA challenged participants to develop a campaign on behalf of the Campaign to Change Direction, to change the culture of mental health in America. The goal of the 2017 competition was to change the way we think and talk about mental health. Participating teams will achieve this goal, in part, through education on the Five Signs of mental suffering, which are: change in personality, agitation, withdrawal, decline in personal care and hopelessness.

After logging more than 400 hours, the Carolina PRSSA team Emotional WELLness — consisting of Carter Chambliss '18, Rachel Rhodes '18, Sarah Sturdivant '18 and Sloan Taylor '18 — received first place in the nation.
