During the spring 2024 semester, students in Grayson Mendenhall's "MEJO 482: Media Design" produced zines on a subject they chose and presented the content in two languages with equal prominence.

The premiere documentary screening of "Earn it The Carolina Way" was held in the Freedom Forum Conference Center on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021, at 7 p.m. The documentary — created by students in the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media — showcases UNC’s 2020 NCAA national championship field hockey team. The documentary also premiered online at the same time.

This thesis studies various documentary portrayals of American food insecurity and hunger, discussing the effectiveness of the storytelling and the values used in conveying the sentiments and experiences that people in low-income families face in relation to food insecurity.

"Isla de Fuerza" is a multimedia documentary project created by "MEJO 584: International Projects" students about Puerto Rico's continuing struggle to recover from Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria.
“MEJO 584” is a global storytelling course that allows students to travel internationally to create a documentary each spring. Previous project locations have included Belize, Columbia and the Galápagos Islands.

This documentary produced by UNC Hussman students profiles UNC’s 2022 NCAA national championship field hockey team, which also won the 2020, 2019 and 2018 national championships. Previously, the team had three consecutive title wins in 1995, 1996 and 1997.
