Dec. 5 and 11: Therapy dogs return to Park Library

Therapy DogsTherapy dogs will return to the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media this semester for exam study breaks. The breaks are hosted by the Park Library in the school and will be held on University reading days Thursday, Dec. 5, and Wednesday, Dec. 11. See detailed schedule below.

These visits are arranged to provide relief to students, faculty and staff during the stressful exam period. Therapy dogs are an increasingly popular way to provide stress relief and other health benefits for people. Visits by therapy certified animals have been proven beneficial in a wide variety of environments including schools and hospitals.

All visiting therapy dogs are trained and certified by Pet Partners (formerly the Delta Society) or Therapy Dogs Inc.

This event will be held in Carroll Hall room 268 by the Park Library and is open to all UNC students, staff and faculty.
