Astronaut Scholarship Foundation | Public Service Program

The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation, founded by the original Mercury astronauts Shepard, Glenn, Slayton, Schirra, Cooper and Carpenter, provides some of the largest individual merit awards in the US for the student of engineering, science and astronautics.

All of the Apollo astronauts were trained in celestial navigation at UNC's Morehead Planetarium, beginning in 1960.

This public service program was produced by Bruce Curran's "MEJO 333: Video Communications for Public Relations and Marketing."
