May 2012 graduate Reema Khrais placed second in the radio broadcast championship, and rising senior Kelly Parsons earned an honorable mention in the writing championship.

The site covers politics in North Carolina during a year in which the state has drawn national attention as a political battleground and the host of the Democratic National Convention.
