Graduates from the Hussman School of Journalism and Media will speak at the Young Alums Colloquy March 19 in Carroll Hall, Room 33 from 9 - 11 a.m. and Chapman Hall, Room 201 from 1 - 3 p.m. The event will focus on careers in public relations and is open to all current J-school students, faculty and staff.

The 2010 Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) Southeast Colloquium featured 10 papers from nine Carolina graduate students. The UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media hosted the 35th annual colloquium in Chapel Hill March 11-13.

Two students in the school’s M.A./J.D. dual degree program were named the top editors for the First Amendment Law Review.

Two students in the journalism and law schools' M.A./J.D. dual degree program were named the top editors for the First Amendment Law Review at the UNC School of Law for 2010-11.
Jonathan Jones from Zionsville, Ind., was named editor-in-chief. Nora Sullivan from Arlington, Mass., was named executive editor.

Rick Brewer, Dot Jackson, Ray Shaw (posthumous) and Larry Stogner were inducted into the N.C. Halls of Fame in Journalism and Public Relations during an April 11 ceremony in Chapel Hill. Frank Andrews and Wendy Bounds received Next Generation Leadership Awards.
