About the event

The Hussman School kicks off its first regional networking event for the 2016-17 academic year with a visit to New York City during the Hussman School's fall break.

On Thursday evening, Oct. 20, all New York City alumni are invited to join the Hussman School for an NYC alumni reception featuring Dean Susan King and the Hussman School's fall break networking trip students — all the way from Chapel Hill! The reception will be held at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs from 6-8 p.m. Hors 'doeuvres and beverages will be provided.

This gathering provides a casual atmosphere where students can continue the networking experience with alumni and friends of the school.

Associate Dean for Development and Alumni Affairs Wendy Borman, Director of Career Services Jay Eubank and Director of Alumni Affairs and Donor Relations Robin Jackson will be the other Hussman School administrators in attendance.

While in New York City, students on the fall break networking trip will have the opportunity to experience alumni working in their own environments and to converse with them about their careers, living in the Big Apple and what it takes to land a similar position. Professor of the Practice Dana McMahan will also be bringing students from her Workroom FashionMash course to visit companies in the fashion production industry.

Please register by Wednesday, Oct. 19.
