Chancellor Holden Thorp presented 1968 J-school graduate Walter Hussman with the University’s Distinguished Alumnus Award.
Hussman, publisher of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, is a third-generation newspaper publisher and head of WEHCO Media in Little Rock. The company operates daily and weekly newspapers and cable television companies in five states.

Assistant professor Janas Sinclair and doctoral student David Remund have been named Page Legacy Scholars by the Arthur W. Page Center for Integrity in Public Communications.
Sinclair's project is entitled: "The Values Basis of Public Response to Marketplace Advocacy and Effects on Environmental Attitudes."

The Arthur W. Page Center for Integrity in Public Communication recently selected second-year doctoral student Dave Remund as the Page Legacy Scholar for the 2009-2010 academic year.

Kilar, a 1993 advertising graduate of the school, will deliver the Roy H. Park Distinguished Lecture Oct. 14 at 5:30 p.m. in Gerrard Hall.
