Yopp named summer school dean
Jan Johnson Yopp, senior associate dean and Walter Spearman professor in the school, has been appointed dean of the Summer School beginning January 2008.

In Memoriam: Doug Marlette (1949-2007)
Doug Marlette taught in the school in 2001-2002.
He was on the school’s Board of Visitors and was inducted into the N.C. Journalism Hall of Fame in 2002. 

School host the Society for News Design's Best of Multimedia Design competition
Nine of the world's best multimedia designers are judging the Society for News Design's (SND) Best of Multimedia Design competition in Carroll Hall room 60 on Friday, Aug. 24, and Saturday, Aug. 25. The judging is open to the public.
