Seniors Lin, Naylor and Wineka selected to Dow Jones Newspaper Fund editing program

Three students from the school have been selected to the prestigious Dow Jones Newspaper Fund editing program for this summer.
At the start of the summer, each student will attend an editing “boot camp” before beginning a paid 10-week internship at a newspaper.

Heather Forster, a senior in UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media, has been named one of two finalists in the national PR Week Student of the Year competition, sponsored by Hill & Knowlton.

Neffa and Regalia win school Hearst competition in personality/profile category

Deborah Neffa and Liz Regalia are the School’s two winners in the Personality/Profile category of the Hearst Journalism Awards Program.
As the School winners, Neffa and Regalia each receive $50. Their entries will be submitted to the national competition. The top prize in that competition is a $2,000 scholarship.
Neffa, a junior from Raleigh, and Regalia, a senior from Raleigh, wrote their winning profiles for Blue & White magazine.
