UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media seniors Carolyn Van Houten and Callaghan O'Hare placed first and fourth, respectively, in the photo picture story/series competition of the 2014-15 Hearst Journalism Awards. With the wins, UNC finished in second place of the Hearst Intercollegiate Photojournalism Competition.

David L. Cohen, executive vice president of Comcast Corp., will discuss “The Democratization of Media” at the second annual Wade H. Hargrove Media Law and Policy Colloquium on March 24 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the George Watts Hill Alumni Center on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus. The event is sponsored by the UNC Center for Media Law and Policy. It is free and open to the public.
